The market is only open on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. If your schedule is not too tight, try to visit the market on Monday since there are not many people crowding the market compared to other days. If Marché de Montreuil is for those who like to shop, this market is for those who prefer to satisfy its appetite. Marché Richard Lenoir is a flying market, that is market that suddenly appears magically on a street with hundreds of food stalls and disappear as quickly as they appear, which takes place every Thursday and Sunday at the boulevard Richard Lenoir, hence the name of the market.

The market begins at the famous Place de la Bastille monument and ends at around one kilometer distance. And while you enjoy the French gourmet, you can also please yourself with the performances of street entertainers and musicians. The highlights of Marché Richard Lenoir is Eduard Mace, a wine seller specializes in rare vintage wines and Jacky Lorenzo, Paris’ most famous fishmonger.

What is special about Marché les Enfants Rouges is that it is the oldest market in Paris. Founded in 1628, the market is hidden away behind the discreet entrance of Les Enfants Rouges, named after orphans who wore red clothes. The market is open everyday except Monday.

The most popular textile shop in Paris is Dreyfus, a five storey store which claims to be the Marché Saint-Pierre. Other prominent stores with complete collection are Reine and Moline. The market is closed on Sunday so make sure you go there on weekdays.

Location: Louis-Lepine, 75004

As the name tells you, this two-century-old market is selling flowers and birds. This market is special because it is located in one of Paris’ islands, Île de la Cité, near the Conciergerie and Notre Dame cathedral.
