Musée Jacquemart-André is a public museum which houses the art collection of Edouard André and Nélie Jacquemart. Edouard André was the last scion of a wealthy family in the century who married a famous portray artist, Nelie Jacquemart. André spent his life being an army who was stationed abroad before he met Jaquemart and Jaquemart was a busy specializing in aristocracy and government figures.

As you can see, those husband and wife were where the museum got its name. The museum is also hosted in their former house and located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and housing 18th century French paintings and furniture, 17th century Dutch and Flemish paintings, and Italian renaissance works. This specific dedication to the couple makes this museum to be one of its kinds in Paris.
