Parc de la Villette

Parc de la Villette is one of Paris largest parks, situated in the 19 arrondissement of Paris. Although it has many attractions, three major concert venues, a music museum and a popular City of Science and Industry or Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in its original language, not many people visit Parc de la Villette. This low rate of visitors is probably due to the fact that the park is located far away from the city center. Nevertheless, if you want to experience a different atmosphere and learn some culture, Parc de la Villette is worth a visit.

La Seine, or more popular as the Seine, is a famous river which lies across Paris and mouths to the English Channel. The river is 776 km long a popular site of attraction for many domestic and international tourists.

There are several disagreements about the origin of the river’s name. The majority, though, agree that Seine River got its name from the Latin word “Sequana”. However, some others also argue that it has the link to the Saone River or River Shannon in Ireland. There are also people who argue that the word “Sequana” is the Latin version of “Issicauna” which comes from a Gaulish word for Yonne River.

Thoumieux Restaurant Paris

Thoumieux Restaurant Paris
Thoumieux Restaurant Paris

Thoumieux is a Restaurant Paris that has stayed around for more than a hundred years. With that kind of reputation, it is barely pointless to question its quality. The restaurant is so old that some tourists even consider it as a must-visit site as if it is a tourist attraction. So, what does make Thoumieux to be so legendary?

For some reasons, Thoumieux was taken over by the Costes brother and Jean-Francois Piege, a pedigree chef with an undoubted reputation. Well, a takeover is risky. After being around for a hundred years, Thoumieux definitely has established some sort of its own standard and characteristics in their meals. People have the right to assume that everything won’t be as good as it was.
