The Foundling Museum - Foundling Museum gets its name from the Foundling Hospital, which was the first home for foundlings or abandoned children in London and Britain. In 250 years this institution cares for more than 25,000 abandoned children.

Foundling Museum tells the story of a foundling hospital; it is the first home for abandoned babies in 1739. The museum has exhibition of contemporary social history that tells the story of children.

The art collection in The Foundling Museum is donated by artists including Hogarth, Reynolds and Gainsborough. It is introduced in the original arrangements of Rococo and Georgia, which are part of the first public art gallery in England. Often there are family workshops and concerts to work for free for visitors in the museum.

The Foundling Museum in one origin of the first houses in London for abandoned children which put on 27,000 children before closing. This museum has a large collection of art and social history relating to the children which is taken in the social problems that cause terrible children which are abandoned by their parents.

One of its founders, William Hogarth encouraged artists of the day to donate artworks to the house so he could generate money from fees paid by members of the public to see the work. As a result, there is the first exhibition in the city at the Foundling House. Foundling Museum in London is currently located in the neighboring buildings to its original location in Brunswick Square near Russell Square Metro station.

The Foundling Museum tells the story of abandoned children in London. Captain Thomas Coram, the founder of the children’s charity Kurram and Museum tells the story of this charity work in 1739-1954. It is dedicated to receive the care and education of abandoned children, of which there are many.

The Foundling Museum is opened in 2004 and there are things that mothers give to their children by leaving them in the hospital. Here you get a very detailed history and the transition from the Foundling Hospital. It is overlaid by video testimonies from former child conveys the hard life and narrow them in the hospital. There are children oriented activities, which of course helps visitors get a sense of what life was like, as well as a reminder that there are children still living in nursing today.
